The NBL grand final series got underway last night at Melbourne Park and the honours went to the defending champs who won 104-94. Adelaide were led by Brett Maher who nailed 6 of 9 three point shots for 31 points and Darnell Mee who finished with 25 points. Game 2 is on Wedesday night in Adelaide and game 3 if needed on Friday. It is unlikely that the titans will win the next two games in Adelaide as the sixers have only lost three games at home all year.

Here are some early player movements. Simon Kerle, James Harper, James Cameron and Michael Pennisi have all benn released by the crocs. Kerle was released by coach Ian Stacker after the two had a fallout. Matt Nielsen has been resigned by Sydney and center Acie Earl is expected to resign also. The kings may sign Steve Woodberry to replace kelsey Weems who has been released. In other news Robert Rose was named Townsville's MVP and John Rillie was MVP of the Razorbacks. Perth Wildcats legend James Crawford has retired now that the cats will be using a youth program next season.
